English Premier League matchday 3 is finally here with some intresting fixtures coming up. Liverpool visit Old Trafford and a London Derby between Chelsea and Palace. Here is my prediction;
Arsenal vs Brighton
Arsenal put in a top display against Aston Villa with Partey on the scoresheet. Villa did a double against Arteta last season.
Brighton have been outstanding in the past two matches including a last minute victory against Manchester United. I still feel Arsenal quality is enough to ease past Brighton. Arsenal 3-1 Brighton
Everton vs Bournemouth
Everton have lost their two EPL matches but won against Doncaster in the EFL in midweek.
Bournemouth on the other hand should have won against Newcastle. Sean Dyche is a top manager and doesn't get enough credit. I will go for a one all draw. Everton 1-1 Bournemouth
Ipswich vs Fulham
Ipswich are still looking for their first win following promotion to the English Premier League. Kieran Mckenna has faced Liverpool and Manchester City in the last two games.
Fulham have a top manager in Marco Silva. Fulham didn't deserve to lose vs Manchester United. They were decent against Leicester and am glad Smith Rowe has hit the ground running.
Both teams have a top mid block but I still feel Fulham might have an edge. Ipswich 1-2 Fulham
Brentford vs Southampton
Brentford loosing Toney who is expectedto join the Saudi Pro League would be a big blow for them. Brentford have a decent backline a strong midfield but still lack an X-factor in attack.
Southampton are possession team, play some good football and have a talented squad. Their quality might not be enough to get past Brentford low block. Brentford 2-0 Southampton
Leicester vs Aston Villa
Leicester had a good game vs Tottenham Hotspur earning a draw but I still feel Ange didn't do enough to prepare for that game.
They were below par against Fulham.
Emery will look to bounce back from 2-0 loss against Arsenal. Leicester 0-3 Aston Villa
Nottingham Forest vs Wolverhampton
Nottingham Forest had a good result vs Southampton and have some really nice talents.
Wolves were all over as Chelsea mauled them six goals, handing Noni Madueke his first Premier League hat-trick. Nottingham should be breaming in confidence. Nottingham 2-1 Wolves
West Ham vs Manchester City
Manchester City will try to extend their unbeaten start to the Premier League season when they go to the London Stadium to face West Ham on Saturday. WestHam have quality but will not be enough to prevent Pep from claiming a victory. Westham 1-3 Manchester City.
Chelsea vs Crystal Palace
Chelsea dominated a Wolves team scoring 6 goals with Palmer and Madueke pulling the strings. Palace haven't won against Chelsea in a long time.
With transfer speculation surrounding Marc Guehi and Olise's transfer to Bundesliga giants Bayern Munich, Palace are in for a tough season. Exciting talent like Adam Wharton and Nketiah may not be enough.
Chelsea 4-2 Crystal Palace
Newcastle vs Tottenham Hotspur
Newcastle have a talented squad but they often come short off their on pitch performances. They are still in the market for a centre back.
Ange had an impressive first season and have 4 points in two games this season. Newcastle attack is not convincing while Tottenham are fluid in their attack. Newcastle 1-2 Tottenham Hotspur
Manchester United vs Liverpool
New season same old United. Erik Ten Haag should have left Old Trafford once INEOS took over. United have been awful in their last two games. They scrapped past Fulham and suffered a deserved defeat against Brighton.
Liverpool are on a roll and Mohamed Salah is in form. Arn Slot hasn't taken long to implement his tactical ideas and has tried to comfort Liverpool fans following Klop's exit during close-season. United are miles off and Liverpool are breathing fire. Manchester United 1-3 Liverpool
